Lighter weight, more portable option gives retailers the benefits of the Infinea Tab 4 with improved user interface
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. – Nov. 6, 2013 – Infinite Peripherals introduced the Infinea Tab M, the first mobile POS device compatible with the iPad mini. The new MFi-certified offering from IPC meets retailer needs for a lightweight, portable solution with ample screen space to transform the customer experience and increase traffic to positively impact conversion rates directly on the sales floor.
The Infinea Tab M was launched in direct response to continuing retailer migration to mobile POS. As the first company to enable Apple products with mobile POS functionality, IPC understands – and addresses – market demands quickly and effectively. The device is a solution with a similar portability to the Linea Pro for the iPhone and iPod touch and the customer interface of the Infinea Tab for the iPad.
“Infinite Peripherals understands rapidly evolving market demands as a result of the deep relationships we have built from the early stages of mobile POS with our top U.S. retailer clients,” said IPC President Andrew Graham. “As the first provider of iOS-compatible mobile POS devices, we help retailers deliver an even more streamlined and personalized consumer experience enabled by Apple’s latest products so they can continue to increase revenues.”
Infinea Tab M
The Infinea Tab M with Lightning connector adds a 1D or 2D barcode scanner and magnetic stripe reader to the iPad mini so retail associates can conduct customer checkout from anywhere in the store, eliminating consumer wait times in line. With optional Bluetooth® and RFID readers, the Infinea Tab M completes transactions even faster.
In addition to POS, the Infinea Tab M can be used for expediting inventory management, asset tracking, ID verification, lead tracking, inspection/work flow, dispatch, time/labor and lab and healthcare. Software development resources and tools are available for the product so customers can program scanner and reader functions into their own software application. The Infinea Tab M is equipped to deliver near-field communication (NFC) in future updates.
IPC also offers accessories including protective cases, trigger gun grips, holsters, wall mounts and stands that can be customized with company colors and logos. The Infinea Tab M comes with a Bluetooth option to connect to a portable receipt printer, such as the IPC mobile printers DPP-250, DPP-350 and DPP-450, for 2, 3 and 4-inch receipts.
