As we draw closer to the projected deployment dates of the 5G network, one of the biggest topics industry professionals and analysts are speculating about is what part of the world will see the first deployment of commercial 5G networks. As the infographic below shows, global solution providers are relatively divided on the topic.

While I’m sure there’s some location bias in these results, the majority of participants (42 percent), think the first commercial 5G networks will run in APAC. The graphic also reveals other noteworthy statistics like what percentage of APAC operators have or intend on implementing 5G trials, some of the biggest challenges faced by APAO operators and solution providers, along with other topics like industries set to benefit the most from 5G and the most driving use cases for update and deployment.
