Ingram Micro Earns Microsoft Operational Excellence Award

By Staff Author | September 5, 2013

Largest wholesale technology distributor chosen out of field of 30 top Microsoft partners across North America

SANTA ANA, Calif., August 28, 2013 – Ingram Micro has announced it has been recognized by Microsoft with a Transaction-Level Operational Excellence Award in honor of its market-leading support for Microsoft technology. The award was announced by Microsoft earlier this month and recognizes Ingram Micro’s U.S. Microsoft business unit for delivering superior results across three distinct categories: Valid agreements, valid orders, and adjustments.

Partners achieving this award out-performed their competitors in the North American channel, comprised of more than 30 candidates. Ingram Micro was recognized for superior operational excellence, meeting or exceeding specific requirements for the number of valid agreements in a variety of categories, as well as the number of on-time and valid order submissions and revenue reconciliation.

“Together with Microsoft, we’ve maximized the market growth opportunity for our mutual channel partners over the past year across several categories including cloud, electronic service delivery, point of sale activation, Office 365 and other business segments,” says Jodi Honore, executive director, vendor management, Ingram Micro U.S. “We are pleased to be recognized by Microsoft for our execution and operational excellence in selling and supporting its Open Business, Open Value license, Open Office 365, Campus and School, ISV Royalty and SPLA product lines. This award demonstrates that our Microsoft business unit indeed makes it easy for channel partners to do business with Microsoft, and that our team’s program expertise and commitment to excellence are key differentiators that continue to set Ingram Micro apart as a strategic Microsoft distribution partner.”

“At Microsoft, we are extremely fortunate to work with incredibly passionate partners that consistently deliver outstanding service solutions to our customers,” says Owen Roberts, general manager of Microsoft’s Americas Operations Center. “The Operations Excellence award recognizes those partners that deliver high quality, innovative solutions and an exemplary customer experience. We thank Ingram Micro for its commitment to Microsoft and the success of our mutual channel partners.”
