iPhone 6 at Sprint Gets $50 Unlimited Everything

By Andrew Berg | September 9, 2014

LAS VEGAS – Sprint today unveiled a special pricing plan, giving customers who buy the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus unlimited talk, text and data for $50 a month.

The new plan shaves $10 off Sprint’s recently announced $60 unlimited single-line plan.

Along with the special iPhone plan pricing, Sprint is introducing the “iPhone for Life” plan allowing customers to get the 16GB iPhone 6 for zero down and $20 a month. The cost represents a large discount over the installment-pricing carriers featured for the iPhone 5s—AT&T requires 24 monthly payments of $27.09 and T-Mobile requires 24 monthly payments of $25.

But the iPhone for Life only allows for upgrades every two years. A Sprint representative couldn’t say for certain if iPhone for Life will ever offer annual upgrades and there’s no guarantee the $20 device cost will continue after the upgrade. It will depend on pricing for future iPhones.

The $20 monthly rate jumps up depending on the iPhone model. For example, the 32GB iPhone 6 and the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus carry a $25 rate and the 30GB iPhone 6 Plus runs $30 a month.
