This morning industry leaker Evan Blass hinted that T-Mobile’s upcoming Uncarrier X promotion will include unlimited streaming of video through certain services.
According to Blass’ sources, Uncarrier X will “allow unlimited video on 4G without making you churn through LTE data first.”
From the sound of it, the service would be similar to T-Mobile’s current Music Freedom program, which omits data rate charges for music streaming through certain services.
The leak appears to correspond to the announced theme of the Nov. 10 event, “We never hit pause,” and would be consistent with T-Mobile’s push toward unlimited data and no overages.
During last week’s T-Mobile earnings call, Un-carrier CEO John Legere hinted that the Uncarrier X promotion would be a game changer for the wireless industry.
“If they’re not worried now, they should be, because they’ve got until November 10th,” Legere said.
