LG has told 9to5Google that it is canceling the worldwide rollout of its Watch Urbane 2nd Edition.
AT&T and Verizon announced pre-orders of the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition on Nov. 12.
AT&T priced the watch at $0 down and $15 per month for 20 months with an installment plan or $199.99 with a two-year agreement.
The company is saying that the problem is due to a hardware “quality issue.” AT&T has reportedly already started notifying those who bought the device that there is a problem and extending refunds to those customers.
According to 9to5Google, Verizon is not delivering the watch to those who ordered the device.
The new Watch Urbane was significant is that it would have been the first Android Wear smartwatch with LTE connectivity.
