LSN Mobile Technologies wants to make it easier for businesses to get up and running with SMS campaigns.
The company said its Go With SMS program provides all the tools companies need to roll out an interactive mobile promotion in a short time. In fact, it can take eight to 12 weeks to obtain a short code, but with its own inventory of short codes, LSN can get a company up and running in a week, said David Spear, executive vice president of sales and marketing at LSN.
LSN works with 17 of the top 20 wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile USA and MetroPCS. It also works with aggregator mBlox.
LSN is going forward with Go With SMS even though Verizon Wireless, for one, has floated the idea of higher message termination (MT) fees. “I feel extremely confident of our positioning with Go With SMS and what it can do,” Spear said.
Go With SMS is intended for any size of business, and LSN takes out some of the risk for a company that wants to try SMS. Leasing a short code can be an expensive proposition, especially for a small company facing upwards of $12,000 a year. “We’ve taken all that risk and cost away from the equation,” he said.
Companies can select a platform from eight promotion categories. Go With SMS requires no long-term contracts or sign-up fees and offers three pricing options. Companies can launch a mobile campaign for as little as $199 a month with an allocation of 1-1,500 text messages per month. Other plans include 1,501-10,000 text messages per month for $759 and 10,001-25,000 text messages per month for $1,599 a month.
Turnkey campaigns are available for contests, voting, offers, news, buying/selling, auto, sports and information alerts. Customized campaigns also are available.
