Setcom Wireless announced its new system for helping engineers test the conformance of Long-Term Evolution (LTE) wireless broadband networks.
The “S-Core” protocol tester is for chipset and user-equipment developers. It can be used for testing chips and physical RF connections, both pre-integration into other products.
Other features include support for up to 20 MHz bandwidth, modulation up to 64 QAM, handovers between GSM/W-CDMA/LTE, network and media performance analysis and support for MIMO antennas.
The industry standard for LTE testing is known as TTCN3 – Testing and Test Control Notation Version 3. Setcom said future support options will include GSM/EDGE, W-CDMA and non-3GPP standards.
Availability and pricing were not announced.
