Aeroflex yesterday launched its 7100 Digital Radio Test Set for LTE systems.
LTE, officially called Long-Term Evolution, is the CDMA successor to current 3G networks. Commercial rollouts are expected in the 2010 timeframe.
Aeroflex’s instrument includes an RF interface, baseband and protocol stack. It simulates network traffic across multiple layers and has a base frequency up to 6 GHz, the company said.
Optional features are 2×2 MIMO, built-in fading simulation and a second RF interface. Future options will include GSM/GPRS/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA connections.
Pricing was not announced.
