AT&T’s Glenn Lurie will succeed Ralph de la Vega as President and CEO of AT&T Mobility.
Originally reported by Fierce Wireless, AT&T is planning to merge its mobility and business solutions groups into a single unit.
“We’re taking the next natural step by integrating our marketing and distribution for Business Solutions into our Mobility group,” an AT&T spokesman said in an emailed statement. “Ralph de la Vega’s responsibilities have been expanded and now he is CEO of our new Mobile & Business Solutions organization.”
The statement said the two businesses are a great fit, business-related customers represent 50 percent of AT&T’s mobile revenues.
“This new group will focus on delivering integrated solutions for business customers that are first and foremost mobile, and also secure, reliable, ultra-fast and effortless,” the statement said.
AT&T said that Lurie, who was previously president of emerging enterprises and partnerships for AT&T Mobility, will continue to report to De la Vega.
