MetroPCS announced Friday it is expanding customer’s coverage and calling capabilities in Mexico and Canada through a new $5 per month add-on.

Dubbed “North America Unlimited,” the new feature allows customers to talk, text and use LTE data in both Canada and Mexico without incurring roaming charges.

The new feature expands upon the July introduction of MetroPCS’ Mexico Unlimited add-on, which gave customers unlimited coverage in Mexico. North America Unlimited will be offered to customers who already have Mexico Unlimited at no extra cost.

North America Unlimited is available starting today to any customer with a $40 per month plan or higher.
