MetroPCS today announced its first HTC handset, the HTC Wildfire S, an Android-powered smartphone.
The Wildfire S comes running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and features a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 600 MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Customers who purchase the HTC Wildfire S can choose from a $50 or $60 no-contract smartphone plan. For $60, consumers can choose between Rhapsody’s Unlimited Music service or video entertainment with MetroSTUDIO, which includes unlimited Internet access, voice and texting services.
The HTC Wildfire S will be available this week online and in stores for $179 plus tax.
