With two new TV ads and the announcement of an Oct. 8 press event in London, Microsoft today appeared to come yet another step closer to solidifying its plans for launch of new Windows Phone 7 devices.
The most recent advertisements, which have been posted to Microsoft’s Windows Phone website, feature the HTC Mondrian, which will be coming to AT&T. The ads show situations where people are distracted by their phones and include taglines like, “Less stop and stare and more glance and go,” and “A phone to save us from our phones.”
The promise appears to be that the Windows Phone 7’s home screen with live updates will be easier to use than those on other smartphones.
Meanwhile, Microsoft today announced a press event to be held in London on October 8. While nothing has been confirmed for the event, it’s expected that more specific Windows Phone 7 plans are to be announced at the event.
