Microsoft announced that it has licensed Adobe’s Flash Lite and Reader programs for Windows Mobile handsets, even as it is working to build up its competing technology. The software giant said it will distribute the Adobe programs to handset makers who use Windows Mobile platform.
The programs are designed to enable easier viewing of online videos and other files on handsets. Flash also allows users more interaction with Web sites.
Microsoft said the decision was part of the company’s efforts to provide more choices for its customers.
