Mobile advertising company Millennial Media announced a strategic agreement with Verizon Wireless to manage a large portion of the company’s mobile advertising inventory.
According to a company representative, this announcement is significant because Verizon Wireless originally only worked with AOL’s Platform A, which includes Advertising.com and Third Screen Media.
Through the terms of this agreement, Baltimore, Md.-based Millennial Media will be able to deliver its advertiser campaigns to Verizon Wireless’ mobile Web users.
“Verizon Wireless has long been a leader in consumer mobile services, and we are excited to add them to our industry-leading networks of brand-name, premium publishers and carriers,” said Paul Palmieri, president and CEO of Millennial Media, in a statement.
