MobiTV is bringing a new form of personalization to its offerings. The first in a vertically customized line of products and services is Mobi4Biz, which will debut on the Research In Motion (RIM) BlackBerry Bold device.
Mobi4BIZ is a video-centric application for mobile prosumers and business professionals that combines live TV and VOD content. Anticipated partnerships are with CNBC, Bloomberg, FOX Business and TheStreet.com, with up-to-the minute stock market data from CNBC.
In the past, MobiTV has served specific markets, such as with a full Spanish-language line-up of programming, but now it’s taking that strategy one step further, according to MobiTV President and co-founder Paul Scanlan.
Mobi4BIZ features include company-specific VOD content, alerts for breaking news video on portfolio companies, personalized content on portfolio companies and financial graphs, analysis and tools.
The first U.S. carrier to offer the Bold will be AT&T, but no launch date has been announced.
