Verizon Wireless and Motorola Mobility today announced the second-generation of the Droid X smartphone, the Droid X2.
The Droid X2 comes running Android 2.2 (Froyo) but will be upgradeable to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The new smartphone features a dual-core 1 GHz processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, support for Adobe Flash, mobile hotspot functionality for connecting up to five Wi-Fi devices, Bluetooth and an 8-megapixel camera.
According to a press release, The Droid X2 will be available online at on May 19 and in Verizon Wireless Communication Stores on May 26 for $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.
The Droid X2 is not compatible with Verizon Wireless’ next-generation LTE network technology.
