Seattle, Wash.-based mPoria launched GoMobile! Lite (GMLite), a service designed to help retailers get their mobile commerce efforts rolling.
GMLite features the basic capabilities of the original GoMobile! service, including the online wizard-guided site setup process and click-to-call purchasing capabilities. Merchants simply follow a series of online, wizard-guided instructions through the mPoria merchant services Website. The merchant can establish branding requirements and a product catalog of up to 100 products.
Customers can then access the Website by entering the merchant-selected URL into their mobile devices or via mporia.mobi. When they are ready to make a purchase, they click the merchant’s click-to-call button to complete the transaction. GMLite is available for $9.99 per month with a 1-time $19.99 setup charge.
mPoria counts GameStop, Buy.com, TicketsNow and Cutter & Buck among its customers. Its wireless carrier partners include Sprint and Verizon.
