MVNO Red Pocket today announced an expansion to its service with unlimited data-only plans running on T-Mobile’s 4G network.
Red Pocket has been around since 2006 and has already offered data on AT&T’s 4G network previously with its talk and text plans.
Red Pocket will offer the data plans for iPads, Android tablets and GSM mobile hotspots. The company offers a SIM card that normally runs $10 but is selling right now for $1 and carrying with it 512MB of free data.
The data-only plans cover 30 day intervals and start at $10 for 1GB. From there, the plans jump to unlimited, running $30 for 3GB and $50 for 5GB at high-speed. Customers will be throttled back to slower speeds once those allotments have been passed.
The contract-free plans also enable tethering for data sharing.
