Companies supporting LTE and mobile WiMAX networks now have two new testing tools available.
Anritsu announced its MD8430A Signaling Tester for simulating LTE base stations. It uses four RF units that simulate a 2×2 MIMO system handover, following downlinks up to 100 Mbps and uplinks up to 50 Mbps.
The system integrates with Anritsu’s overall MD8480C W-CDMA Signaling Tester, supporting W-CDMA/HSPA up to Release 7 and GSM/GPRS/EGPRS base stations.
Meanwhile, Anite launched its Mobile WiMAX Host Tester. Users can test protocol stacks in isolation of any hardware, reducing the risk of multiple chipset development turns by correcting potential problems in the pre-silicon protocol development stage.
It also supports protocol conformance testing from the WiMAX Forum. Shipments are scheduled for June.
