HELSINKI (AP) — Nokia says it is suing Apple in Britain, Germany and Netherlands over alleged infringements of its patents in iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Nokia says the actions “add 13 further Nokia patents to the 24 already asserted against Apple in the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Delaware and Wisconsin Federal courts.”
The world’s top handset maker says the patents include several which enable compelling user experiences, including “using a wiping gesture on a touch screen to navigate content.”
The Finnish company said Thursday some of the patents were filed more than 10 years before the launch of the iPhone.
