Nokia today said that the head of its Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) business will step down immediately following Micrsoft’s acquistion of the company’s devices and services divisions.
Jesper Ovesen, currently executive chairman of NSN, will leave upon the closing of the Microsoft transaction, which is expected to take place during the first quarter of 2014.
Ovesen will continue to serve in an advisory role for a period after the closing of the Microsoft transaction.
Ovesen joined NSN in September 2011, when it was a joint venture between Nokia and Siemens. He has reported directly to NSN CEO Rajeev Suri. Suri will continue to report to the NSN Board.
