nTelos today launched a promotional single-line plan that pairs unlimited talk and text with 10GB of data for $45 a month. For an extra $10, customers can upgrade to unlimited data.
The promotional plans are available to new and existing customers eligible for upgrade. Subscribers have to opt for nTelos’ Equipment Installment Plan (EIP). Device charges for EIP run $35 a month (after zero down) and customers are eligible to upgrade after 12 payments.
nTelos is also offering a $350 credit to buy out contracts for subscribers switching over to their network.
The new offer undercuts Sprint’s recently announced $60 unlimited single-line plan, which in turn undercut T-Mobile’s similar plan priced at $80. And as nTelos points out, thoroughly beats out the $115 price of a single plan with 10GB at both AT&T and Verizon.
nTelos serves about 468,000 subscribers in Virginia, West Virginia and portions of Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Kentucky. But the carrier says its network covers approximately 6 million people.
