Numerex, a provider of networking and consulting services in the machine-to-machine niche, said it’s acquiring Ublip, which makes software and services.
Ublip brings development tools, hosting, middleware software and network design expertise, Numerex CEO Stratton Nicolaides said. Numerex is paying Ublip $300,000 in cash plus 400,000 stock shares.
Jeffrey Smith, founder and president of Ublip, will stay with Numerex to lead its information technology and development.
