Verizon media subsidiary Oath this week announced an agreement to distribute its content through Samsung’s Bixby digital assistant.
Oath officials said mobile apps including Newsroom, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Finance and Verizon’s Go90 will be installed on millions of eligible Samsung devices.
The subsidiary added that the agreement includes ads through Yahoo Gemini and said brands would be able to take advantage of “engaging native ads within Galaxy apps and Game Launcher experiences.”
“This partnership represents Oath, Verizon and Samsung’s shared commitment to deliver an unparalleled mobile user experience by bringing together the best devices, premium content and advertising and wireless network to consumers around the world,” Oath Product Management VP Dave Bottoms and Chief Revenue Officer John DeVine said in a statement.
Oath said it is now the premier U.S. content provider for the Bixby system, which debuted with the launch of Samsung’s previous Galaxy smartphone models in 2017.
The company plans to expand to additional markets later this year.
