Initimate social network Path has rolled out a new feature that allows users to text businesses directly via its dedicated messaging app.
A product of its acquistion of TalkTo, Path has inserted the ability for users of its messaging app to text businesses with questions about everything from dinner reservations to their operating hours.
How does it work? The question is receieved via text by an agent who then makes the call to the business and then relays the answer back to the Path user via text.
In a blog on its website, Path says the feature allows user to contact local businesses “to request appointments, make reservations, or even check out prices and hours. It’s all by text. And it’s all for free.”
The new feature is called Places and it’s available today for both Android and iOS in the U.S. and Canada.
