Prizes And Giveaways At IMS 2017

By Michael Luciano | June 6, 2017

With the 2017 International Microwave Symposium (IMS) under way in Honolulu, thousands of participants are engaging in various activities like technical sessions, forums and seminars, panel sessions, workshops, exhibits, and others.

IMS has a lot more to offer in the form of great prizes and giveaways provided by various exhibitors at their respective booth locations. Contest participants and early attendees can receive an Amazon Echo, drones, GoPro cameras, along with several other electronics and gadgets.

Here’s a list of companies (with their booth locations) that are holding contests and giveaways worth checking out, so you know where to go and sign up.

Keysight Technologies – Booth No. 1526

Keysight Technologies is giving two grand prize winners a chance to obtain a backpack containing a drone or new mosaic (battery, storage, and sharing phone device). In addition to the contest winners obtaining an eLearning module of their choice, all participants will receive a digital copy of Keysight’s ADS example book Focused on RF & Microwave Design. You can click here to sign up for this contest.

Wolfspeed – Booth No. 832

The GaN and RF Solutions company are offering contestants a chance to win a GoPro Hero 5 camera by simply getting your badge scanned. Drawings take place at 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, along with an 11am drawing on Thursday. The only requirement of participants (if they want to claim their prize) is being physically present at the times of the drawings.

Reactel – Booth No. 1802

One of the more coveted prizes is an Amazon Echo that Reactel is offering to its contestants. All you have to do is register in person at the booth.

Rohde & Schwarz – Booth No. 1348

You can receive a complimentary hardcover copy of the book Fundamentals of Vector Network Analysis by Michael Hiebel. Interested participants need to present the mail from Rohde & Schwarz in printed or electronic form. Giveaways are limited to one book per person and email. With a limited amount available, this offer is first come, first serve so validity continues only while supplies last.

Peregrine Semiconductor – Booth No. 1042

While discussing intelligent electronics that will apply to the connected world, the semiconductor manufacturer is giving away a limited number of 3-in-1 USB connector cords to charge multiple types of electronics. This is another first come, first serve offer so stop by the booth to grab a cord while they’re still in stock.

Teledyne Microwave – Booth No. 1502

In addition to having a broad selection of RF and microwave products, Teledyne Microwave is also giving away free sunglasses. This doesn’t quite compare to a multi-purpose charging cord or an Amazon Echo, but IMS 2017 is in Hawaii and I can’t think of anything more appropriate to give away in that kind of tropical atmosphere.

Make sure to visit the official IMS website for more information on prizes and giveaways. You can click here to learn more about the offers listed above.
