Programmable Battery Analyzer

By Staff Author | February 13, 2001

Cadex Electronics announced their latest product, the C7200 programmable battery analyzer.

Designed for ease of use, this two-station analyzer checks most battery chemistries including Li-ion, Li-Polymer, NiMH, NiCd and SLA. Each station can test batteries independently. Featuring a self-learning Quick Test, the C7200 offers in-depth, accurate diagnosis of technical problems in four minutes. A neuro-logic network based on &quotfuzzy&quot logic adapts to new chemical combinations and, after three cycles, actually &quotlearns&quot each battery matrix. The more batteries that are tested, the higher the accuracy achieved.

In addition to the Quick Test, the C7200 also offers a ten-second Ohm test, which quickly checks the pass/fail condition of a battery. This program determines whether or not a battery is defective or in need of further testing or reconditioning.

Improved four Ampere charge/discharge rates substantially reduce battery charging time on large batteries. The C7200 operates as a programmable stand alone unit or works with a PC running BatteryShop&#153 fleet management software.
