Keeping with its rapid-fire device launch schedule, Samsung could unveil up to five smartphones, including the “Galaxy S5,” early next year.
Android Guys spotted an ET News report citing an industry source who said the follow-up to the Galaxy S4 could arrive as early as the end of March. That early release date would put it at least a month ahead of the Galaxy S4’s late April launch from this year.
The report also suggests a Galaxy Note 3 Lite, a Galaxy Grand Lite, a Galaxy Gear follow-up and more could be on the docket for the first quarter of 2014.
The latest rumors surrounding the Galaxy S4 successor predict the handset will forego its predecessor’s plastic body for a metal shell.
The flood of new Samsung devices could be paying off in U.S. market share. In Comscore’s newest numbers, Samsung grew the fastest over a three-month period beginning in June, adding 1.2 percent to grab 24.9 percent of the U.S. smartphone market overall.
