Motorola announced that its ROKR E8 handset will be available exclusively from T-Mobile USA beginning July 7, 2008.
The ROKR E8 is Motorola’s first handset to feature the company’s ModeShift technology, which makes it easy to transform the handset from a phone into a music player with the touch of a button. The ROKR E8 also includes haptic technology for a tactile response when a virtual key is pressed, FastScroll navigation wheel, patented CrystalTalk for increased call clarity, Windows Media Player 11 compatibility and pre-loaded music tracks and album art.
“With ROKR E8, U.S. music lovers no longer have to settle when it comes to using their mobile phone as a music player and vice versa,” said Jean Pierre Le Cannellier, senior director of North America marketing at Motorola Mobile Devices, in a statement. “ROKR E8 is an exciting blend of innovative design and technology that harmonizes music and phone features into a single mobile device.”
