Sequans announces production of latest LTE module

By Redding Traiger | March 26, 2025

Sequans announces that its Cassiopeia CA410 module will enter mass production in the first week of April 2025. This LTE Cat 4 module has secured certifications with Southern Linc and Anterix, and complies with CBRS requirements, underscoring its readiness for deployment across diverse utility applications.

In addition to the Anterix’s 900 MHz spectrum and the CBRS band, the CA410 module supports all North American public LTE bands. This versatility enables utilities to operate private LTE networks while maintaining seamless connectivity with public networks. This dual capability ensures secure, reliable, and continuous service delivery.

Deploying private LTE networks offers utilities several key benefits:

Enhanced Security: Private LTE networks allow utilities to implement robust cybersecurity measures, including advanced identity and access controls, monitoring systems, and the option to isolate the network from public internet access, thereby reducing vulnerability to cyber threats.

Improved Reliability and Control: Ownership of a private network provides utilities with greater control over their communications infrastructure, leading to increased reliability and the ability to tailor network configurations to specific operational needs.

Cost Efficiency: By reducing dependence on leased lines and public network services, private LTE networks can lead to significant cost savings over time. Utilities can avoid recurring expenses associated with third-party network usage and benefit from more predictable operational costs.

The CA410 module is built upon Sequans’ LTE Cat 4 intellectual property, which is entirely developed in-house. This commitment to fully Western technology aligns with the security and regulatory preferences of the utility sector, ensuring compliance and enabling trust among industry stakeholders.

With the upcoming mass production of the Cassiopeia CA410 module, Sequans continues to support utilities in modernizing their communications infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency, and securing their networks against emerging threats.
