Siemens has some third-party verification that its HiPath wireless access points using 802.11n comply with the Power-over-Ethernet standards. Siemens announces the new APs a few weeks ago and this week quoted test results from the Farpoint Group.
Craig Mathias of Farpoint says he initially was skeptical that PoE could be used to power a dual-radio 3×3 MIMO AP. But he says his tests show the APs comply with the PoE standards.
Siemens also announced that the new APs had been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance for 802.11n draft 2.0.
