Sprint yesterday announced availability of the HTC Touch Pro2 on Sept. 8. Customers will be able to purchase the HTC Touch Pro2 for $349.99 with a two-year service agreement and after $100 mail-in rebate.
The HTC Touch Pro2 will be the highest priced phone on Sprint’s network. Second in line is the original HTC Touch Pro, which currently sells for $299.99.
The new phone features Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro, offering e-mail, calendar and contacts support with wireless synchronization. Additionally, the Touch Pro2 touts Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Opera and Internet Explorer mobile browsers, as well as a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. The Touch Pro2 has international quad-band capability, including CDMA and GSM technologies.
Sprint currently features the HTC Touch Diamond and Touch Pro.
Meanwhile, HTC has made waves with a series of high-profile devices, including the T-Mobile-branded Android phone, the myTouch 3G, as well as the European Hero with its unique beveled form factor. Both devices have been released to generally positive reviews.
