Sprint today launched a number of new services geared toward the enterprise, addressing WAN limitations and BYOD.
Data Link rolls out on Sprint 3G and LTE networks and provides enterprises with private network coverage. The 99.9-percent service level agreement Data Link supports smartphones, tablets, laptops, M2M applications, hotspots and mobile broadband cards.
Complimenting that new service, Sprint also debuted Static IP, allowing enterprises to more easily manage devices on network by ensuring consistent IP addresses for each device jumping on the network. The service allows enterprises to buy sequential blocks of IP addresses.
Further extending services to the enterprise, Sprint also announced that Bluefish MGMT is now the official BYOD solution for the company. Bluefish, along with Airwatch MDM, allows enterprises to customize security and management of BYOD in order to actually see some of the cost-cutting benefits of allowing personal devices onto a business network.
With more than 55 million subscribers, Sprint has a firm hold on the number three spot among U.S. wireless providers.
