Sprint is hoping a new loyalty program aimed at iPhones users will satisfy long-time customers.
According to a press release, Sprint is launching a new program that will reward our loyal existing customers and enable them to acquire the iPhone 6 for $5 per month, including their monthly service plan).
Beginning Monday, Oct. 13 and continuing through Jan. 15, 2015, eligible and qualified Sprint customers who participate in Sprint’s new ‘iPhone for Life’ leasing plan will receive a $15 monthly Loyalty Service Credit when leasing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. After the monthly credit is applied to the customer’s account, it’s like paying $5/month for an iPhone 6 or $10/month for an iPhone 6 Plus, which sprint notes amounts to a $360 savings over 24 months compared to new customers.
Jim Curran, vice president of Sprint’s base management, says that long-time loyal customers feel left out when they see all the new customer promotions being offered
“We want our customers to know we heard them. Our long-term customers are among our most influential and passionate advocates we have and it’s important we recognize their loyalty,” Curran said. “Our Loyalty Service Credit says that not only do we appreciate your business, you deserve the best priced phone plan.”
The iPhone for Life Plan and Loyalty Service Credit is available to those existing Sprint customers who want to keep their existing Unlimited My Way, My All-in, Simply Everything and Everything Data (Share) rate plans. Customers happy with those service plans can keep them and take advantage of the opportunity to lease an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and receive a monthly Loyalty Service Credit. The service credit is applied within 2 invoices of activation.
