Sprint this week said it is offering customers a free tablet with the purchase of the new Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone as part of its celebration of the Fourth of July holiday.
For a limited time, Sprint said it is offering a free Samsung Galaxy Tab E when customers buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6, S7 or S7 edge smartphone. The smartphone can be purchased on a 24-month installment or lease plan, Sprint said. The tablet comes with a two year agreement.
The offer is just the latest to feature the heavily promoted Samsung Galaxy S7. The device, which was the fifth best-selling phone in the first quarter 2016, could end up atop the list in the second quarter thanks to heavy sales efforts, Kantar Worldpanel ComTech said in May.
In the January to March period, the S7 captured 5.8 percent of smartphone sales after just a few weeks on the market, compared to the Galaxy S6’s 3.2 percent of sales after three months.
The carriers, including Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile, have offered a free Samsung Gear VR with the device as well as buy one, get one free deals.
