Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday – and massive shopping frenzy that follows – wireless carriers Sprint and U.S. Cellular announced they will offer their customers Apple’s new 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
The carriers join Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile in offering the device.
Sprint is offering the 128 GB iPad Pro with Wi-Fi and Cellular for $36.67 per month for 24 months with $200 down. Customers on the carrier’s Family Share Pack plan can add the tablet for a $10 per month access charge and can choose from a range of data plans. Tablet data plan options include $10 per month for 100 MB, $15 per month for 1 GB, $35 per month for 3 GB, $50 per month for 6 GB, $80 per month for 12 GB and $100 per month for 30 GB. All tablet plans include mobile hotspot capability at no extra charge.
Sprint will waive the monthly access charges for up to four lines on the $100, 10GB and $120, 40GB Family Share Packs. To qualify, the device must be a new line of service and purchased through Easy Pay or full SRP, the company said.
Sprint will also offer offer Apple’s new Smart Keyboard, the carrier said.
U.S. Cellular will also offer the 128GB version of the device with Wi-Fi and Cellular for $44.95 per month for 24 months with no down payment or $979 with a two-year contract.
Announced in September, the new iPad Pro includes new features like split-screen multi-tasking and a new suite of applications plus an upgraded A9X chip and four-speaker audio system.
