In the movie theater, that is.
Sprint has just released “Pants, No Pants,” a new public service announcement (PSA) for National CineMedia’s FirstLook pre-feature program.
The PSA features Happy the Hedgehog at the center of a studio executive debate about whether the animated character should be wearing pants. All members of the movie’s developmental team get involved via their cellular phones. After determining if the character should have pants, the spot reminds audiences, “It takes many calls to make a movie. And only one to ruin it. Please no calls or texts during the movie.”
The spots will be seen on more than 17,000 screens in more than 1,350 AMC, Cinemark and Regal Entertainment Group movie theaters.
The campaign was created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco and placed through Mindshare/Kinetic in New York.
