Customers who have thought about switching to Sprint but weren’t sure about making the commitment now have a new option.
The carrier on Friday announced a new 30-day, money-back guarantee to new and existing customers who add a new line of service.
“Sprint’s 30-day satisfaction guarantee is giving consumers the opportunity to try us out worry-free and experience everything Sprint has to offer,” Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure said. “No gimmicks, it’s that simple.”
Under the terms of the offer, Sprint will refund device and service costs to any customers who aren’t “completely satisfied” with their experience on the network in the first 30 days of service.
The refund will include all device charges from an installment billing or lease plan plus down payment, outright device purchase, activation fee and early termination fees, Sprint said. The carrier will not reimburse customers for premium content, third party billing or international voice charges not included on their plan.
Sprint said the promotion can be combined with the carrier’s previous offers for customers to save up to half off their rate plans from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. The carrier is also offering up to $650 to pay off the early termination fees and device installment plans for subscribers who switch.
Sprint’s money-back guarantee – which it said will be offered for a limited time – is akin to the “Lifetime Coverage Guarantee” offered by T-Mobile for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
Unveiled in September 2015, T-Mobile’s program offers to refund “every penny” a customer paid for their device in the first month of service and offers to unlock a user’s device and refund up to a full month of service for unsatisfied customers who have crossed the 30-day threshold.
