Streamezzo, creator of the Universal Software Platform, has released four elements for its Skinnable Application Suite. The suite helps independent software developers, systems integrators and mobile agencies develop new rich media-based mobile services.
The four elements are Music Player, VoD Player, RSS Reader and Photo Gallery. These applications can be deployed on all mobile operating systems. Alternately, each can be branded and customized with full skins, and two or more applications can be combined for more robust offerings.
Streamezzo’s Universal Service Platform is a platform from which rich media applications can be developed and deployed without having to be re-written to function the same on different devices. Users can create and publish applications, through the use of Rich Media Authoring Tools, service delivery methods, via a Run-Time Environment.
“Our entire Universal Software Platform has been designed from the ground up to deliver the ultimate rich media user experience on virtually any mobile devices, and our Skinnable Application Suite supports that strategy,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Struyven, Streamezzo’s CEO, in a statement.
In the near future, the company plans to release a series of premium components to complement its Skinnable Application Suite and further streamline custom mobile application development.
In February, Paris-based Streamezzo made its Workbench SDK code open source. The Skinnable Application Suite complements the SDK and further simplifies the mission of those developing and deploying mobile applications.
