SurfKitchen Powers TelstraOne Experience

By Staff Author | May 5, 2009

It’s been a long time in the making, but today marks the first commercial launch of SurfKitchen’s idle screen product.

The company officially announced that Telstra in Australia has deployed the SurfKit Mobile Internet Platform for the TelstraOne Experience launch. It is debuting on a Sony Ericsson phone.

It works similar to other one-click access solutions on the market, but SurfKitchen says its solution is client based, as opposed to browser based. The idea is for users to quickly launch mobile widgets, Internet apps, native apps and Web links.

With SurfKitchen’s idle screen technology, Telstra can deliver a branded user experience so that customers can quickly discover, launch and customize mobile services on their home screen.
