Transaction processor Syniverse has teamed up with mobile business communications platform Mast Mobile to bring international roaming capabilities to Mast users.
For the 62 percent of business travelers who carry a work phone in addition to their personal device, Mast offers a solution that allows subscribers to use two numbers – with separate billing and data allowances – on one device. Now, with Syniverse’s signaling and messaging solutions, Mast users will be able to preserve access to their device’s dual functionality when they’re on the go globally.
“Working with Syniverse, enables us to extend the unique functionality of Mast’s platform when our customers travel abroad,” said Mast CEO and co-founder David Messenger. “Syniverse navigates the complexities of roaming across multiple international operators to ensure that our subscribers’ experience is seamless wherever they travel, and ensures a scalable, robust global platform as we grow.”
Under the partnership agreement, Mast will use Syniverse’s signaling solutions to translate international roaming protocols and offer the interoperability necessary to solve switch, signaling, routing and numbering intricacies through a single signaling point code. Syniverse previously worked with Mast on a pilot program to provide text-message delivery anywhere in the world.
“With reach to more than 1,000 operators across the world, we eliminate the complex international roaming setup requirements for Mast while securing their ability to provide compelling mobile services to markets globally,” said Syniverse’s President of Global Sales and Service and Chief Sales Officer Alfred de Cárdenas. “The combination of Syniverse’s reach to nearly every operator around the globe and Mast’s services to help companies manage mobile productivity is driving innovation in the enterprise market.”
