T-Mobile today announced it will be bringing 14 more music streaming services under the umbrella of its Music Freedom program, which omits data rate charges for music streaming.
Google Play Music is now on the list along with Xbox Music and SoundCloud.
The new additions to the program join the already 13 services—like Spotify, Rhapsody, Pandora and iTunes Radio—T-Mobile has already included.
T-Mobile says the number of customers streaming music daily is up nearly 300 percent and that it customers stream 66 million songs per day—or about 200 terabytes of data per day.
T-mobile said that a recent commissioned survey by Ipsos of U.S. wireless users showed that 1 in 4 called Music Freedom a key reason they’ve switched or would switch to T-Mobile.
