T-Mobile on Friday sent invites to media and analysts for a special press event at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) where the company will unveil its fourth Uncarrier initiative, dubbed Uncarrier 4.0.
The event will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The invite features the tagline: “This one you aren’t going to believe.”
T-Mobile’s first three moves under boisterous CEO John Legere included a device financing and early upgrade program called Jump, free 200MB data plans for tablets, and free international roaming in over 100 countries.
While not confirmed, rumors have surfaced that the new program to be announced at CES will offer cash to consumers who switch from another carrier in an effort to take the sting out of Early Termination Fees (ETF).
The news comes amid rumors that both Sprint and Dish Network are preparing bids for T-Mobile.
