T-Mobile said it has resolved an issue that caused network outages for users across the country on Thursday.
According to reports on Down Detector, the problems started around 9 a.m. Thursday and peaked at around 11 a.m. when nearly 1,000 service complaints were filed. The site’s outage map showed nationwide impacts, with swaths of issues reported in metro areas east of the Mississippi River, and in major cities along the West Coast. Nearly 60 percent of messages reported problems with their mobile internet, while a quarter of users said they had no signal.
T-Mobile didn’t issue a statement while the incident was occurring, but did field individual comments via its twitter account. Confirmation of a resolution to the issues came around noon yesterday.
T-Mobile declined to comment on what caused the issues.
