In support of its upcoming 3G launch, the Nokia 3555 handset is now available from T-Mobile USA. The quad-band GSM/EDGE clamshell handset includes many of expected standards: VGA camera, stereo Bluetooth, microSD slot and music player, but its talked-about feature is support for AWS 1700MHz WCDMA 3G.
T-Mobile has not set a date for the launch of its 3G network, but it has said that it expects to make the network available before the end of the first half of this year. Service will launch first in New York City.
The Nokia 3555 is available for $50 after rebates, with a qualifying service contract.
