T-Mobile today further aligned itself with Apple’s products by offering its prepaid service on iPhones through Apple reail stores.
The Uncarrier Thursday said that customers can now purchase and activate an iPhone with T-Mobile service in more than 250 Apple stores.
T-Mobile will also offer a $50 discount to those who purchase a new iPhone with prepaid T-Mobile. Additionally, customers who buy a new iPhone with a T-Mobile Simple Choice postpaid plan can get a $50 iTunes gift card.
T-Mobile also said Costco is now selling iPhones and iPads with T-Mobile service.
According to a statement, Costco will offer T-Mobile variants of iPhone 5s 16GB in silver or space gray, iPad Mini 16GB with Retina display in silver, and iPad Air 16GB in space gray. T-Mobile offers its “tablets unleashed” plan with up to 200MB of free 4G LTE data every month for the life of that tablet when it’s registered and used on T-Mobile’s network, and up to 1.2GB free every month through the end of 2014 for qualified customers.
Reports of T-Mobile’s tie-up with Apple retail stores surfaced earlier this month.
Just last week, T-Mobile announced a new “Test Drive” program, which will allow anyone to trial an iPhone 5S on T-Mobile’s network for free for a week.
