Step 1 of 8 12% Welcome to the third installment of the 5G Technology World quiz. So, you think you know 5G? The quizzes, sponsored by Keysight Technologies, will highlight a different aspect of 5G each month through December 2020. The quiz is interactive; it will tell you which questions you answered correctly or incorrectly. Each month, we'll select five people who correctly answered all the answers and give them a "shout out" on the leader board. To get a shout out, you'll need to enter your email address, a username, and select your country. The leader board is open to U.S residents only. Did you not correctly answer all questions? That's OK. 5G is new to many of us. You can always read the source material from the provided link. Good luck. We look forward to seeing you on the leader board. With the rise of the open radio-access networks (RANs), equipment from multiple vendors can for the first time be implemented in the same -RAN. Using software running on commercial hardware will let network operators pick and choose how to virtualize their networks, improve RAN innovation, enhance flexibility, and reduce costs by disaggregating proprietary baseband units into radio units, distribution units, and centralized units. Open RANs will add complexity to 5G networks, but the advantages may outweigh the risks. This month's quiz comes from "O-RAN Next-Generation Fronthaul Conformance," a white paper from Keysight Technologies. Before you begin the quiz please tell us a little about yourself and give us a name you would like to use on our leader board. (Note that this is optional but you won't be listed on leader board without it)Email We will notify you when the next quiz is released.User Name/Alias Name as you would like it to appear on leader board. Note that this will be seen by the general public so you're free to make one up. Please keep it nice... we will edit inappropriate content.UntitledSelect countryUnited StatesCanadaCanadaAfghanistanÅland IslandsAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongo, Democratic Republic of theCongo, Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCôte d'IvoireCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzech RepublicDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatini (Swaziland)EthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacauMacedoniaMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth KoreaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRéunionRomaniaRussiaRwandaSaint BarthélemySaint HelenaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth GeorgiaSouth KoreaSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan Mayen IslandsSwedenSwitzerlandSyriaTaiwanTajikistanTanzaniaThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkeyTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUruguayUS Minor Outlying IslandsUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaVietnamVirgin Islands, BritishVirgin Islands, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabwe Of the major O-RAN components, which is the one that is most likely to be virtualized: O-RAN central unit (O-CU) O-RAN distributed unit (O-DU) O-RAN radio unit (O-RU) All of the above Which component of the O-RAN architecture is most likely responsible for the lower part of the PHY layer processing?
