Concordville, PA — Southco, Inc. has recently been recognized by The Franklin Institute as a member of the STEM 150 for their continued support of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education initiative.
The STEM 150 represents regional, national and global organizations who partner with The Franklin Institute by giving $5,000 or more to show their commitment to supporting and advancing STEM education and workforce development. With the support of the STEM 150, The Franklin Institute is able to connect with youth in an effort to broaden their interest in STEM learning and careers.
Southco has been a longtime supporter of STEM initiatives in the Philadelphia area and Southco employees regularly participate in a number of STEM activities throughout the year. Some examples of these activities include hosting events for students interested in engineering careers onsite at the company headquarters in Concordville, PA, and supporting colleges and secondary institutions throughout the Delaware Valley with STEM projects and curriculum.
