Towerstream announced that Jeff Thompson, Chief Executive Officer, will present the opening keynote at the Tower Technology Summit Co-Located at CTIA Wireless 2012. The conference is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8th — Thursday, May 10th at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Thompson’s opening keynote is scheduled to start at 11:35am ET on Tuesday, May 8th in the Room 338/339 of the Morial Convention Center (Level 3, above Hall F).
In this keynote titled, ‘Small Cell Like It’s 1999’, Mr. Thompson will discuss the changing wireless landscape in the United States, how Wi-Fi and small cell architecture will fast become the standard for heterogeneous networks and why small cell capabilities are a needed solution to 4G deployments as the quickest way to add network capacity.
He will also discuss the evolution of the Tower industry as companies adjust their business models to small cell architecture, including an increase in roof top assets as well as the additional services Wi-Fi and small cell require.
